Egypt's President El-Sisi ratifies law expanding Future of Egypt Authority's mandate

This legislation broadens the authority's role in national development and strengthens Egypt's economic capacity. The authority is now a national entity with independent legal personality, as well as technical, financial, and administrative autonomy, reporting directly to the president. Its headquarters will be in Cairo, with options for branches in Egypt and abroad.

It will focus on increasing private-sector participation, supporting food, water, and energy security, contributing to economic development, preserving state assets, and promoting social justice. Additionally, it will formulate policies for sustainable development zones, create an attractive investment environment, and establish a unified database.
