One feed for the continent. Baobab Pulse gathers the day's most important stories from 18 African countries and delivers them in clear English, every day.
African news is rich, but it is scattered across dozens of national outlets, languages, and paywalls. Baobab Pulse follows an established, widely read outlet in each country we cover, selects the stories that matter beyond their borders, and publishes a faithful English summary with a link to the original report.
We are an aggregator and a guide, not the source. The original outlet always gets the credit and the click: every story on this site names its source and links to the full article.
New stories arrive from each outlet's feed around the clock. An AI model screens each one for relevance to a Pan-African audience, assigns topics, and flags must-read and breaking stories. A second model writes the English summary; stories originally published in French or Arabic are translated. The original headline is preserved alongside our version.
AI does the heavy lifting; the standards are human. We tune the selection criteria, audit the output, and remove anything that falls short.
