US government commits KSh 930 million to modernize Kenya Police Training College

US Chargé d'Affaires Carla Benini attended the passing-out parade at Kiganjo Police Training College alongside President William Ruto on August 28. The embassy stated that the investment aims to support Kenya's pursuit of a modern, professional, and effective police service, emphasizing that well-trained officers can best protect and serve citizens, and that safety is vital for Kenyan and American businesses. President Ruto outlined his expectations for newly graduated officers, stressing that modern policing requires officers to be physically and psychologically prepared, professionally competent, and technologically proficient, with building public trust being as central as crime prevention.
