UN-facilitated roadmap discussions conclude in Tunis, focusing on elections and legal framework

Facilitated by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Ms. Hanna Tetteh, participants initialed a draft final agreement. They plan to reconvene in Libya before the end of the month to finalize implementation arrangements and officially announce the agreement. The draft agreement includes consensus on electoral laws and the High National Elections Commission's board of directors, paving the way for executive arrangements and a formal announcement within Libya.
