Registrar of Political Parties allocates KSh 843.7 million to UDA and ODM

President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance UDA will receive KSh549.97 million, while the Orange Democratic Movement ODM secured KSh293.78 million. Together, UDA and ODM account for over KSh843 million, or about 62% of the total fund. Other beneficiaries include Jubilee Party with KSh128.86 million, Wiper Patriotic Front with KSh68.82 million, and Amani National Congress ANC with KSh25.37 million.

The Democratic Congress Party DCP, associated with former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, and the Roots Party of Kenya were not included in the allocation list as they did not meet the statutory eligibility criteria, such as contesting a full general election cycle. Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu reaffirmed the eligibility thresholds, which include minimum representation in Parliament and county assemblies, and compliance with annual reporting and audit obligations. These funds are intended to support party operations, institutional development, and election preparedness as the 2027 General Election approaches.
