Ousmane Sonko accuses Cheikh Diba over 3 billion FCFA in special funds

He stated that "3 billion and some" were withdrawn from the accounts dedicated to the Prime Minister's Office in 2023. Sonko explained that his Director of General Administration and Equipment DAGE brought this anomaly to his attention upon taking office. He then asked his DAGE to contact the predecessor in that role, who suggested reaching out to Cheikh Diba, Minister of Finance and Budget since April 2023, for clarification.

Sonko affirmed, "I myself called Cheikh Diba. I asked him to give me an update." However, Sonko claims he never received a satisfactory response, stating, "Until my departure from the Prime Minister's Office, they never told me where the money went."
