EOCO freezes bank accounts of NPP stalwart Dennis Miracles Aboagye over alleged financial impropriety
The Economic and Organised Crime Office EOCO has frozen bank accounts linked to NPP stalwart Dennis Miracles Aboagye, following an Accra High Court order. This action is part of ongoing investigations into a GH¢5.87 million fictitious procurement, an unauthorized GH¢19 million public investment, and an unaccounted GH¢4.3 million payment to GAPTE. Miracles Aboagye was arrested after new findings emerged in connection with suspected fraud and theft related to an alleged misappropriation of approximately GH¢55 million at the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation IMCCoD. The IMCCoD Secretariat also alleges that its former Executive Secretary, Miracles Aboagye, requested the removal of portions of a forensic audit report, including findings concerning a bank account with transactions totaling GH¢102,256,802.69.
