Manchester City sets new transfer spending record with €526m in 2026/27 summer window

This figure, confirmed by Transfermarkt, marks the first time a club has exceeded the €500m threshold in one transfer window. Key acquisitions contributing to this record include Iliman Ndiaye from Everton for €70m and Enzo Fernández from Chelsea for €145m, with the latter equaling the British transfer record. Other significant signings were Elliot Anderson for €135m and Ayyoub Bouaddi for €95m. This spending surpasses Liverpool's previous record of €483m from the 2025/26 summer window.

Despite the substantial outlay, Manchester City generated €337m from player sales, resulting in a net spend of €189m. The 2026/27 window also saw other clubs with high expenditures, including Chelsea with €407m, Tottenham with €366m, and Newcastle United with €301m, all ranking in the top 10 for single-window spending.
