
ITA Airways and Lufthansa delegations assess Mitiga Airport for flight resumption
A joint delegation from ITA Airways of Italy and Lufthansa of Germany visited Mitiga Airport to discuss the operation of the air route between Libya and Italy and enhance air transport cooperation. The visit included a tour of airport facilities to review operational capabilities and passenger services, followed by meetings with airport management to discuss operational, technical, safety, and security requirements. The Libyan Civil Aviation Authority stated the visit's purpose is to evaluate security measures and compliance with international civil aviation security standards. Mitiga Airport highlighted that the visit reflects its ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with international airlines, expand its air route network, facilitate passenger travel, and improve air connectivity between Libya and Europe.
