Libyan Minister of Industry and Minerals discusses investment cooperation with Egyptian Ambassador
Mohamed Abdel-Gader, the Libyan Minister of Industry and Minerals, met with Tamer El-Hefny, the Egyptian Ambassador to Libya, in Tripoli. The meeting, which included other officials such as Commercial Minister Plenipotentiary Ahmed Fadel Badiwi and National Mining Corporation Director General Faraj Al-Shandouli, focused on strengthening economic cooperation. The Minister welcomed the reactivation of the Egyptian Commercial Representation Office, highlighting its positive impact on bilateral ties. Discussions covered industrial development, technical expertise exchange, and reviewing Egypt's experience in managing industrial zones to foster an attractive investment environment in Libya. Opportunities for joint projects and Egyptian investments in sectors like mining, construction materials, marble, quarrying, and manufacturing were explored, aiming to localize industry and enhance national resource value. The Minister emphasized building strategic partnerships with Egypt to achieve industrial integration, transfer modern technologies, and stimulate investments for economic growth and job creation. Both parties agreed to continue coordination, formulate a joint work program, and organize technical meetings to launch investment projects, establishing a sustainable economic partnership between Libya and Egypt.
