National Oil Corporation completes work at Zuwara Desalination Plant after seven-year hiatus
The National Oil Corporation NOC announced the completion of technical, mechanical, cleaning, and disinfection operations for the gas pressure reduction and metering system at the Zuwara Water Desalination Plant. The plant had been out of service for over seven years. Gas pumping from the Mellitah Industrial Complex has begun, preparing the plant for operation. This initiative is part of the NOC's strategy to support state service institutions by providing gas supplies as an alternative to more costly liquid fuels for power and desalination plants in Libya, ensuring the continuity of essential services.
