Arabsat and Libya Telecom & Technology sign strategic partnership for satellite communications
The Arab Satellite Communications Organization ARABSAT and Libya Telecom and Technology LTT signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement on August 6. This agreement aims to strengthen satellite communications and support the development of Libya's digital communications infrastructure. The collaboration will combine ARABSAT's satellite infrastructure and regional coverage with LTT's national telecommunications expertise to provide reliable, secure, and scalable satellite communication solutions across Libya. ARABSAT will supply High Throughput Satellite capacity on Arabsat-6A to meet LTT's current and future connectivity needs. The partnership also seeks to explore new opportunities, expand service capabilities, and deliver innovative solutions for various sectors, including government, enterprise, and telecommunications operators. Both organizations intend to enhance network resilience, improve service continuity, and accelerate digital transformation, contributing to Libya's communications ecosystem and digital economy. ARABSAT, established in 1976 and wholly owned by the Arab League, is a major satellite operator with a fleet of 8 satellites, providing broadcast, telecommunications, broadband, and internet services across the MENA region, Africa, Europe, and Central Asia.
