
Standard Chartered and Junior Achievement Nigeria train 600 Nigerians in digital skills
Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited has partnered with Junior Achievement Nigeria to provide digital skills training to over 600 young Nigerians through a 10-day Digital Bootcamp Programme. This initiative aims to enhance employability and entrepreneurship opportunities by offering practical training in areas such as project management, data analysis, cybersecurity, UI/UX design, IT support, and digital marketing. The program will be conducted in Ondo, Abuja, Rivers, and Kaduna states, targeting graduates, National Youth Service Corps members, women, and young people from low-income communities. Olaolu Akogun, Acting Executive Director of Junior Achievement Nigeria, emphasized the importance of strong partnerships in preparing young Nigerians for the digital age. Joke Adu, Head, Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing, Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited, highlighted the bank's commitment to empowering youth with future-ready skills and contributing employee expertise through a Skills-Based Volunteering programme. This collaboration aligns with the Standard Chartered Foundation's goal of improving youth employability and economic participation, ultimately strengthening Nigeria's digital talent pipeline.
