Gideon Boako criticizes NDC government for canceling 1,800 infrastructure projects

He stated that the government canceled approximately 1,800 infrastructure projects, including roads, school blocks, feeder roads, student hostels, hospitals, and markets, to reduce public expenditure and achieve a positive primary balance. Dr. Boako, speaking on OTEC FM’s Afternoon Political Show Dwabrem, expressed concern that this decision deprives the country of critical development and employment opportunities, arguing that these projects could have created hundreds of jobs for young people. He also criticized the government for worsening the living conditions of Ghanaians through what he termed poor policy decisions.
