Gideon Boako criticizes NDC government for canceling 1,800 infrastructure projects
Dr. Gideon Boako, Member of Parliament for Tano North, has accused the NDC government of sacrificing infrastructure development for favorable economic indicators. He stated that the government canceled approximately 1,800 infrastructure projects, including roads, school blocks, feeder roads, student hostels, hospitals, and markets, to reduce public expenditure and achieve a positive primary balance. Dr. Boako, speaking on OTEC FM鈥檚 Afternoon Political Show Dwabrem, expressed concern that this decision deprives the country of critical development and employment opportunities, arguing that these projects could have created hundreds of jobs for young people. He also criticized the government for worsening the living conditions of Ghanaians through what he termed poor policy decisions.
