Egypt's Foreign Minister reaffirms support for Sahel states during talks with Burkinabe counterpart

Speaking at a joint press conference with Burkinabe Minister of Foreign Affairs Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré, Abdelatty noted that bilateral ties reflect strong fraternal bonds and political will to expand investments and trade. The discussions, held under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Burkinabe President Ibrahim Traoré, covered avenues to boost bilateral cooperation. Abdelatty emphasized Egypt's support for Sahel countries—Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger—in combating terrorism, while jointly condemning a recent failed coup attempt in Niger.
