This will be achieved through the establishment of integrated investment zones around Egyptian airports. The directive was issued during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El-Hefny to review aviation development plans and infrastructure projects. Minister El-Hefny presented the ministry鈥檚 strategy to modernize airport facilities, increase operational capacity, improve passenger services, and strengthen Egypt鈥檚 position as a regional aviation hub.
President El-Sisi emphasized accelerating the civil aviation sector's development by upgrading infrastructure, improving service efficiency, maintaining safety and security standards, and increasing private-sector participation. The meeting also covered the progress of the Terminal 4 project at Cairo International Airport, designed to accommodate approximately 40 million passengers annually. This new terminal will incorporate advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and smart sustainable systems, to enhance passenger experience and operational efficiency.
President El-Sisi directed that the project adhere to the highest international standards in design, technology, sustainability, and operations, and stressed the importance of monitoring passenger feedback.
