Egypt and Jordan foreign ministers discuss Palestinian developments and regional de-escalation efforts

The ministers praised the strong relations between their countries and reaffirmed their commitment to bilateral and regional coordination to serve their nations' interests and support regional security. They expressed deep concern over the deteriorating situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, condemning Israeli violations in the West Bank, Gaza, and occupied East Jerusalem, and calling for an end to actions undermining peace and the two-state solution. They also emphasized the importance of implementing the US president's peace plan for Gaza to consolidate the ceasefire, ensure humanitarian access, and prepare for subsequent phases.

Both ministers reviewed regional developments, stressing the need to halt military actions and prioritize political and diplomatic solutions to prevent conflict expansion. Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's solidarity with Jordan and its support for the kingdom's sovereignty, security, and stability, while Safadi thanked Egypt for its supportive stance.
