
Sirte Oil increases production to 116,000 barrels per day through new and reactivated wells
Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company has increased its oil output to approximately 116,000 barrels per day. This achievement follows the successful drilling of 17 development wells and the reactivation of 44 previously inactive wells. These figures were presented during the National Oil Corporation’s NOC annual technical and financial meeting for 2026, held at Sirte Oil’s headquarters in Marsa El Brega. The meeting reviewed operational results from the second half of 2025 through June 30, 2026, and discussed future plans. Sirte Oil is also working to finalize the development of the NC 216 area to further boost production and is upgrading its gas systems. NOC officials reaffirmed their support for Sirte Company, emphasizing the importance of strategic projects, gas sector investment, and ongoing maintenance to increase production, ensure sustainability, and support the national economy.
