
Mamelodi Sundowns and Silver Strikers advance to CAF Women's Champions League Cosafa Qualifier semifinals
Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa and Malawi’s Silver Strikers have secured their spots in the semifinals of the CAF Women’s Champions League | Cosafa Qualifier Botswana 2026. Sundowns topped Group B after defeating Costa do Sol of Mozambique 4-1, with goals from Asanda Hadebe, Wendy Shongwe, Ronnel Donnelly, and Melinda Kgadiete. Lucia Moçambique scored for Costa do Sol, bringing her tournament total to four goals. Sundowns finished with nine points from three group games. Silver Strikers advanced in second place after a 5-1 victory over Eswatini’s Nsingizini Hotspurs, with Carolyne Mathyola scoring a hat-trick, and Grace Kakangula and Gladys Banda adding goals. Lucia Gaonwe scored for Nsingizini Hotspurs. Sundowns will face defending champions Gaborone United in the second semifinal at 19h00 CAT. Zesco Ndola Girls will play Silver Strikers in the first semifinal at 16h00 CAT. Both semifinals will be streamed live on Fifa+ and Cosafa’s Youtube channel.
