Bayern coach Kompany addresses Jamal Musiala's on-field collapses, citing treatment change

Kompany emphasized there is no cause for alarm regarding Musiala's health. The 23-year-old Germany international collapsed during Bayern's 4-2 friendly win against Heidenheim and also in their 3-1 friendly victory over RB Leipzig. Musiala had previously disclosed his diagnosis and described the episodes as "currently part of my everyday life."

Kompany explained that Musiala changed aspects of his treatment, leading to some side effects, which he described as normal during a treatment adjustment. Bayern's sporting director Max Eberl confirmed the club's full support for Musiala, noting that the player wished for his condition to be made public. Musiala will not be part of the squad for the upcoming German Supercup match against Borussia Dortmund, allowing him time to adjust to his condition being public knowledge.

Eberl added that the club and players have been aware of Musiala's condition since the last season and that it has become a part of their everyday life. Kompany expressed calm and anticipation for Musiala's return, believing the player has made significant progress and is ready to perform.
