All Farmers Association of Nigeria seeks support for Tinubu’s agricultural transformation agenda

AFAN President Farouk Mudi stated that this support is crucial for unlocking Nigeria’s agricultural potential and boosting food production. He highlighted the Federal Government's efforts in securing farmlands previously occupied by bandits, which has provided relief to many farmers through coordinated security measures. Mudi noted that a partnership between the Ministry of Defence and AFAN has enabled many farmers to return to their lands, with efforts also underway to resettle internally displaced persons.

This collaboration led to the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, being conferred with the title of Patron of AFAN. Furthermore, the partnership facilitated an agricultural study tour to Brazil for AFAN executives, where they participated in the annual Cotrijal trade exhibition to identify innovations. AFAN plans to host the Nigerian-Brazilian International Agric Exhibition in November 2026, in collaboration with the Kano State Government and the Kano State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture.
