55-year-old Ghanaian woman welcomes triplets after 25 years of marriage

Her pregnancy was discovered unexpectedly during a hospital visit for an illness, and doctors later confirmed she was carrying triplets.

The triplets were born on January 13, 2026, and a naming ceremony was held on July 6, 2026. Linda Ampofo and her husband, Deacon Kwame Ampofo, expressed gratitude for the children and encouraged other women waiting for children to remain hopeful. Health professionals note that natural conception at 55 is highly uncommon due to menopause.
