
Ghanaian migrant recounts perilous journey from Libya to Europe, warns against irregular routes
A Ghanaian woman residing in Italy has shared her harrowing experience traveling by boat from Libya to Italy, urging others to avoid irregular migration routes to Europe. In a viral video, she recounted that approximately 120 people were on the boat, but only 70 survived the journey. She detailed the tragic loss of two of a fellow traveler's four children during the crossing. The woman also suffered a neck injury due to the overcrowded conditions, leading to a two-week hospitalization upon her arrival in Italy. She described an emotional moment when one of the children she was assisting died in her arms, an experience that solidified her resolve to caution others about the dangers of irregular migration.
