
NGX Group reports record first half, declares N1.30 interim dividend
Nigerian Exchange Group Plc announced an interim dividend of N1.30 per ordinary share for the six months ended June 30, 2026. This follows a record first-half financial performance, driven by strong market activity, operating leverage, and increased contributions from investee companies. Group Chairman of NGX Group, Umaru Kwairanga, stated that the dividend reflects the strength of their performance and confidence in long-term prospects, balancing shareholder returns with investments in infrastructure, technology, and strategic initiatives. Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Temi Popoola, highlighted that revenue growth was supported by higher transaction activity, increased listing income, and stronger contributions from investee companies, leading to improved profitability. NGX Group's revenue surged 118 percent to N17.60bn in H1 2026, compared to N8.08bn in H1 2025. Total income grew 96 percent to N19.34bn. Operating profit expanded by 155 percent to N10.62bn, and profit before tax surged 170 percent to N14.76bn. Profit after tax jumped 146 percent to N10.36bn. The Group maintained a robust balance sheet, with total assets growing to N75.87bn and shareholders' equity increasing to N60.49bn.
