
Ghanaian business mogul Stephen Boateng, known as Kessben, reported dead
Stephen Boateng, widely known as Kessben, a prominent Ghanaian business mogul, has been reported dead on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Kessben was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Kessben Group of Companies, a diversified conglomerate with interests in media, education, hospitality, finance, travel and tours, shipping, and real estate. The Kessben Group operates entities such as Kessben FM, Kessben TV, Aseda TV, Kessben University College, and Fosua Hotel. Before his extensive business career, Stephen Boateng trained as a teacher and initially dealt in imported electrical appliances. He held a first-class degree in Economics and Law and an MBA in Finance from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology KNUST, and was called to the Ghana Bar in 2022. Kessben was also recognized for his philanthropic efforts and contributions to employment and media platforms, especially in the Ashanti Region. Details regarding the cause of his death and funeral arrangements are currently unclear.
