Rivers State Police dismiss three officers over UNIPORT graduate's killing, fourth officer declared deserter
The Rivers State Police Command has dismissed three officers in connection with the killing of Anthony Obodo, a University of Port Harcourt graduate, in Port Harcourt last Thursday. A fourth officer, an inspector who was part of the team and fled after the shooting, has been declared a deserter. The State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, announced the dismissals, stating that disciplinary action was taken after an investigation established the officers' culpability. The dismissed officers will face charges in court.
