Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq tripartite cooperation mechanism discussed by foreign ministers in Amman
Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, and Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met in Amman. The meeting focused on the Egypt-Jordan-Iraq Tripartite Cooperation Mechanism, which Abdelatty emphasized as crucial for regional integration and joint Arab action. He highlighted the mechanism's potential to leverage the three countries' capabilities and resources for shared interests. Abdelatty stressed the importance of translating the leaders' political vision into tangible projects in sectors like infrastructure, trade, industry, energy, electricity interconnection, agriculture, and transportation. The ministers also discussed regional developments, particularly the Palestinian issue, advocating for intensified efforts to support the Palestinian people's rights, including an independent state with Al Quds as its capital. Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's commitment to the mechanism, recognizing its role in enhancing coordination and contributing to regional security, stability, and sustainable development.
