Tripoli Ministry of Economy reports oil export and revenue improvements in first half of 2026

These results surpassed targets set in the Unified Financial Agreement, highlighting effective coordination among state institutions in managing public resources and fostering economic stability. Foreign exchange revenues from oil exports reached US$15.234 billion, exceeding the US$13.985 billion target by 11.5%. General budget revenues from crude oil exports totaled 96.735 billion dinars against a target of 89.7 billion dinars.

Crude oil production for the period was 246 million barrels, slightly below the 252 million barrel target, with some production allocated to domestic needs and power stations. The Ministry emphasized that these indicators reflect the integrated performance of government and state institutions and signify positive progress in implementing the unified financial agreement. The Ministry also stressed the need for continued inter-institutional coordination, linking performance to actual revenues, improving spending efficiency, and directing resources to support economic activity and enhance citizens' living standards.

These outcomes demonstrate the government's effective management of economic and financial affairs, with oil revenues surpassing targets due to strong coordination among institutions.
