Sirte Oil and Gas Company brings Al-Hatiba field well S-24 online, adding 5 million cubic feet of natural gas daily
Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company announced that its Libyan workforce successfully brought Well S-24 at the Al-Hatiba field online, connecting it to the gas plant. This new well produces approximately 5 million cubic feet of natural gas per day, contributing to the stabilization of gas supplies and maintaining production rates for the industrial complex and Libyan Fertilizer Company plants. The connection was achieved using internal resources and optimized materials, highlighting teamwork across departments. Production rates at Al-Hatiba field had already increased from about 90 million to 103 million cubic feet per day following the tie-in of wells S-02 and S-28. The addition of well S-24 aims to sustain these levels to meet consumer and industrial sector needs. The company's Chairman also noted plans to complete gas system development projects, linking Al-Hatiba with Al-Istiqlal field for optimal gas utilization and integration. This strategic project will consolidate gas flows through main transmission lines, enhancing operational flexibility and capacity for future gas transport, supporting National Oil Corporation NOC and Sirte Oil Company's production increase goals.
