Trabzonspor rejects Crystal Palace's €30m bid for Super Eagles defender Chibuike Nwaiwu

The Turkish Cup winners are determined to retain the 23-year-old, who joined from Wolfsberger AC in January and has become a key player in their defense. Trabzonspor values Nwaiwu at €35m, and he is under contract until June 30, 2030. His impressive performance, including three headed goals in 16 league appearances last season, has attracted interest from several European clubs.

Crystal Palace's need for defensive players increased after losing Maxence Lacroix to Chelsea and Marc Guehi to Manchester City. Trabzonspor aims to challenge for the Super Lig title next season and will only consider Nwaiwu's departure for an exceptional offer before the transfer window closes. Fulham, a London rival of Crystal Palace, is also interested in the defender and has reportedly agreed to personal terms with him, while working to finalize a transfer fee with Trabzonspor.

French and Italian Serie A clubs are also monitoring Nwaiwu.
