Egypt's Prime Minister directs faster student visas to boost foreign enrollments by 150%
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has instructed government bodies to streamline visa issuance and university admission procedures for international students as part of the "Study in Egypt" initiative. During a meeting in New Alamein, Madbouly highlighted that foreign students contribute to Egypt鈥檚 soft power and bolster foreign currency reserves. Higher Education Minister Abdel Aziz Qansowa presented an executive plan to achieve a 150 percent increase in new international student enrollments over the next five years, with a goal of attracting 30,000 students through overseas university branches. Foreign Ministry Assistant Minister for Cultural Relations Wael Al-Nagar confirmed full coordination to shorten approval times and facilitate entry visas for applicants.
