However, only one parliamentarian, Félicité Mbougane Sarr, from Ndiaganiao like the head of state, has reportedly followed Djiby Ciss. This single defection is far from the "50 deputies" mentioned on social media and does not indicate a massive erosion of the ruling parliamentary group.

During the vote on a controversial law, the Pastef group, led by Ayib Daffé, received support from several unaligned deputies and some elected officials from the Alliance for the Republic APR. However, this temporary support does not signify a recomposition of power dynamics in the National Assembly, as the Pastef parliamentary group reportedly maintains a comfortable majority.
