500 million FCFA allocated for youth professional integration during C么te d'Ivoire's Independence Day celebrations
The Ivorian Ministry of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration, and Civic Service, through the Youth Employment Agency, has mobilized 500 million FCFA to support youth professional integration. This initiative coincides with the 66th anniversary of C么te d'Ivoire's independence, with official celebrations scheduled for August 7 in Yopougon. The Youth Employment Agency has set up a "Professional Opportunities Crossroads" stand at the "Independence Village" in Yopougon Terminus 47, operating from August 2 to August 6, 2026. Coulibaly Abdoulaye, a professional integration advisor at the Yopougon Youth Employment Agency, stated that the funds are intended to support youth professional integration and finance project holders. He encouraged young people to utilize the agency's services, which include training, Thimo programs, driving license offers, youth cards, internships, direct employment opportunities, and project financing. Coulibaly also noted that several young project holders have already received funding through this operation, with 26 projects for income-generating activities totaling 16.5 million FCFA and 25 small and medium-sized enterprise projects amounting to 56.42 million FCFA.
