President Faye outlines ECOWAS priorities to new Commission President General Birame Diop

The operationalization of the regional counter-terrorism brigade was highlighted as a priority to combat the growing jihadist threat. This meeting precedes General Diop's official assumption of duties, placing Senegal in a central role within ECOWAS, with President Faye holding the rotating presidency and General Diop leading the executive body.
