Four deaths, 66 accidents, and 429 victims reported during Tivaouane Gamou

The security and medical teams carried out 254 interventions, assisting 429 victims, including 4 fatalities, according to Commander Djibril Sall, the detachment's communication officer. Road accidents accounted for a large portion of the incidents, with 66 accidents recorded, resulting in 224 victims. Of these, 221 received assistance, and 3 people died.

In addition to emergency responses, the BNSP provided 468 free medical consultations to pilgrims and residents. Water supply was also a key part of their efforts, with 8 tanker trucks distributing 975 cubic meters of water in the religious city. Due to heavy rains during this period, emergency services also responded to flooding, clearing ten affected sites.

The BNSP will maintain its presence in Tivaouane to continue rescue and assistance operations until the end of the religious gathering.
