Egypt's Minister of State for Military Production discusses new cooperation opportunities with Uganda
Egypt's Minister of State for Military Production, Salah Soliman Gembalat, emphasized the importance of expanding partnerships with the global private sector and strengthening cooperation with African nations, aligning with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives. During a meeting with Egypt's ambassador to Uganda, Sherif el-Gamal, the minister reviewed the military and civilian products manufactured by the ministry's 15 industrial companies and four specialized companies. He highlighted the ministry's advanced industrial and technological base, which includes 260 production lines, numerous laboratories, testing centers, and approximately 980 CNC machines, presenting opportunities for industrial partnerships to supply production inputs and meet the Ugandan market's needs. Gembalat expressed the ministry's eagerness to establish new strategic partnerships to deepen relations between the two countries and welcomed visits from Ugandan technical delegations to assess manufacturing capabilities. Ambassador Gamal praised the Ministry of Military Production's resources and its role in supplying Egypt's armed forces and police, as well as its contribution to national development through civilian products and growing exports. Gamal affirmed his commitment to expanding cooperation, increasing Egyptian product access to the Ugandan market, and overcoming challenges to strengthen the ties between Egypt and Uganda during his tenure in Kampala.
