President Boko expresses concern over lack of public engagement for World Athletics Relays 2026

President Duma Boko has voiced concern regarding the insufficient public engagement for the upcoming World Athletics Relays 2026 in Botswana. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the 500MW Mawana Solar Plant in Maun, President Boko urged stakeholders to actively promote the event and generate national excitement. He called upon the public to attend and support the athletes at the prestigious meet, scheduled for May 2 and 3 at the National Stadium. Botswana is set to host top track athletes, including record holders and emerging talents.
