Ousmane Sonko warns President Bassirou Diomaye Faye against National Assembly dissolution

Speaking at a party meeting in Linguère, Sonko asserted that Pastef would easily win any snap elections, whether local or legislative, if the Assembly were dissolved. He predicted that the President would be severely defeated, potentially leading him to resign before 2029. Sonko also urged Pastef militants to remain vigilant and calm, warning them against provocations from political adversaries that could be used to destabilize or dissolve the party.

He emphasized that the militants' ability to resist these provocations would be crucial for the party's success in upcoming elections, which he anticipates will result in an easy victory for Pastef.
