Osun State Governor Adeleke reaffirms endorsement of President Tinubu for 2027 election

Adeleke made this declaration in Osogbo during a visit from the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Ajibola Basiru, and other party members. The governor cited his previous commitment to supporting Tinubu's candidates for National Assembly principal positions, recalling how he ensured Osun State representatives backed Senator Godswill Akpabio and Tajudeen Abass. He also mentioned Tinubu's empathy when the government's account was frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission before the August 15 governorship poll.

Adeleke urged all stakeholders in Osun to set aside differences for the state's development. Basiru, after the meeting, stated that with the collaboration between the Accord and APC, Tinubu could secure up to 1.5 million votes in Osun State in the next general election. Basiru's visit was also to thank Adeleke for attending his mother's burial and to congratulate him on his governorship election victory.
