Ghanaian microbiologist Daniel Wubah serves as president of a US university
Dr. Daniel A. Wubah, a Ghanaian microbiologist and academic administrator, became the 15th President of Millersville University, Pennsylvania, USA, on April 18, 2019. He is an alumnus of Accra Academy Senior High School and the University of Cape Coast, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Honours in Botany and a Diploma in Education. Dr. Wubah furthered his education with a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Akron and a PhD in Botany from the University of Georgia. His career blends scientific scholarship with academic leadership. In addition to his university role, Dr. Wubah holds a traditional leadership position in Ghana as Nana Ofosu Peko III, Safohene of the Breman Traditional Area in the Central Region. Under his leadership, Millersville University has advanced towards becoming a more student-centered and values-driven institution, implementing a strategic plan titled "Tradition and Transformation" through 2025.
