Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola urges colleagues to speak out about personal struggles

Speaking at a candlelight night for the late actress Temitope Osoba in Ikeja, Lagos, Daramola emphasized that many in the industry silently battle personal issues, often presenting a facade that hides deeper problems. She stated that speaking out allows for mutual support, acknowledging that outward appearances can be deceptive. Daramola urged those facing challenges to confide in others, suggesting it could lead to help, even indirectly.

However, she also recognized that individuals cannot always be expected to support others, as everyone carries their own burdens. The event honored Osoba, who died at 40, having previously disclosed her battle with breast cancer. Her death has generated social media controversy, with her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, claiming she died at a police station, contrary to speculation about cancer complications.

Osoba's family has urged the public to stop spreading misinformation. Her burial is scheduled for August 13 in Iperu Remo, Ogun State.
