Nigeria's Flying Eagles secured a spot in the WAFU B U-20 Championship final by defeating hosts C么te d'Ivoire 4-3 on penalties. The semi-final match, played on Wednesday, ended in a 2-2 draw after extra time. Goalkeeper Lawani Clinton was instrumental for Nigeria, making two crucial saves during the shootout. C么te d'Ivoire initially took the lead in the 18th minute. Nigeria's captain Habila Simeon equalized in the 68th minute, ending C么te d'Ivoire's clean sheet run. Abubakar Aliyu then put Nigeria ahead in the first half of extra time, but the hosts scored deep into added time to force penalties. Despite Simeon missing Nigeria's second penalty, Clinton's saves ensured the Flying Eagles' victory.
