National Oil Corporation inaugurates new crude oil flow measurement system at Sidra terminal
The National Oil Corporation NOC has inaugurated a new crude oil flow measurement system at the Sidra oil terminal, operated by Waha Oil Company. The NOC stated that this system significantly enhances the efficiency and accuracy of measurement and export operations within the sector. The development of this system received continuous oversight and direct support from NOC Chairman, Masoud Suleiman. The modern system features two metering skids, each equipped with four ultrasonic flow meters, designed to ensure high levels of accuracy and reliability in calculating exported crude oil quantities, adhering to international fiscal metering standards. Each skid also includes an advanced master meter calibration system for continuous verification of meter performance, based on the principle of master meter proving, which aims to improve operational transparency and the reliability of results during export operations.
