Former coach Christian Martin backs Can Uzun-Victor Osimhen partnership at Galatasaray
Former coach Christian Martin has suggested that Galatasaray target Can Uzun could form a strong partnership with Victor Osimhen if the Turkish champions sign the attacking midfielder from Eintracht Frankfurt. Galatasaray is pursuing Uzun to strengthen their squad, with negotiations ongoing. Martin believes Uzun's creative qualities, including his vision and final-pass ability, would complement Osimhen's pace, physicality, and movement in attack. He stated that Uzun's ability to play in gaps and draw defenders would create opportunities for a dynamic striker like Osimhen. While Galatasaray has had a slow start to the transfer window, Uzun is a primary target. Reports indicate progress in signing Uzun, though Frankfurt's valuation, reportedly around €60 million, is a hurdle, with Galatasaray seeking a lower fee, possibly €35 million plus €5 million in bonuses. Uzun's potential arrival would provide another creative option around Osimhen, who is expected to be central to Galatasaray's plans.
