
Prime Minister Madbouly witnesses signing for 'Mwasalat Modon Misr' public transport company
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly attended the signing of an investment and shareholders agreement to establish "Mwasalat Modon Misr." This new company will manage and operate smart, sustainable public transportation in Egypt's new urban communities. The agreement was signed by Madinat Misr for Asset and Utilities Management, a joint entity of the New Urban Communities Authority and the Future of Egypt Authority for Sustainable Development, and Mwasalat Misr, a public transit operator with a stake held by the National Bank of Egypt. The ceremony was attended by Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities; Dr. Bahaa El-Ghannam, Executive Director of the Future of Egypt Authority for Sustainable Development; Dr. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Communities; and Mohamed El-Etreby, CEO of the National Bank of Egypt. The agreement was officially signed by Eng. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu Taleb, CEO of Madinat Misr for Asset and Utilities Management, and Hisham Ahmed Taha, CEO and Managing Director of Mwasalat Misr. "Mwasalat Modon Misr" plans to deploy 200 new vehicles with digital operational systems, an integrated fleet management infrastructure including control rooms and smart equipment, and a cashless payment platform developed with NBE.
