
National Oil Corporation condemns drone attack on Brega Airport Road Fuel Depot, begins emptying tanks
The National Oil Corporation NOC has condemned a drone attack on its Brega Airport Road Fuel Depot. Following the incident, the NOC declared a state of full readiness for all emergency teams across its sites. Specialized teams have initiated the process of emptying fuel from tanks as a precautionary measure. The corporation emphasized that targeting oil facilities through sabotage operations is a dangerous development. It called for increased efforts from all security and military authorities to protect these vital and sensitive sites, warning that tampering with them poses a significant risk to citizens' lives and resources. The NOC highlighted that attacks on oil facilities in Libya directly threaten the supply of basic services, including fuel for power plants, healthcare, industrial sectors, and daily citizen needs. The corporation urged respect for the safety and sanctity of oil facilities and their workers to ensure continuous fuel supply, energy security, and citizen safety.
