
National Single Window platform processes N11.27bn in payments over five months
Between March 27 and August 17, 2026, the National Single Window NSW platform processed 114,122 licenses and permits, facilitating N11.27 billion in payments. The Phase One rollout saw 10,818 importers and agents register, with five Ministries, Departments, and Agencies fully onboarded, and over 8,000 users trained. Twenty-four out of 27 airlines have been onboarded, transmitting 2,139 air cargo manifests. However, adoption among shipping lines is lower, with 23 of 88 onboarded and 43 manifests transmitted, indicating a 26 percent compliance level. The Nigerian Ports Authority and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency have completed readiness requirements, with operational integration ongoing. The Standards Organisation of Nigeria achieved 100 percent platform usage compliance, processing 78,957 documents and N9.02 billion in payments. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control processed 34,815 documents and N2.20 billion. The National Agricultural Quarantine Service processed 38 documents and N30 million, while the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency processed 311 documents and N10 million. The Nigeria Customs Service, importers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents are fully ready and operationally compliant on the NSW platform. The NSW Platform is preparing for its Phase Two rollout to reduce paperwork, enhance transparency, and streamline cargo clearance processes.
