
Adrien Duval resigns as Opposition Whip and Public Accounts Committee chairman
Adrien Duval has resigned from his positions as Opposition Whip and chairman of the Public Accounts Committee PAC. In a letter addressed to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Shirin Aumeeruddy-Cziffra, Duval stated that this decision follows Joe Lesjongard's resignation as Leader of the Opposition. Duval also expressed gratitude to the Speaker, the Clerk of the National Assembly, parliamentary staff, and members of the Public Accounts Committee for their collaboration during the committee's 41 meetings. He emphasized that he had the "honor and privilege" of chairing the PAC.
