Madagascar hosts 27th International Rural Economy Fair in Antananarivo
The 27th International Rural Economy Fair of Madagascar FIER MADA has commenced, as announced by the Malagasy Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty. Nearly 300 exhibitors, primarily farmers from various regions of the country, are participating. The fair aims to promote agricultural products, production capacities, and innovations within the sector. It also seeks to foster the development of agricultural production, enhance farmers' incomes, and support the nation's food sovereignty efforts. This year's theme, "Quality rural roads to connect farmers to markets," highlights the crucial role of rural road infrastructure in improving producers' market access, strengthening trade, and advancing Madagascar's agricultural sector.
